4. Observation On Teachers

Planning for teaching 

   


 Teachers prepare teaching plans in accordance with the curicullum. teachers must design teaching plans so that the expected learning objectives can be achieved. The teaching plan is only for one topic. So teachers have to make a teaching plan for each meeting. 

Preparing lessons and materials

    As a teacher, we are required to prepare everything that is needed during learning, such as lesson plans and materials. Teachers must develop lesson plans properly in accordance with existing guidelines, the lesson plans designed must have clear and directed goals. After the lesson plan, the teacher must prepare what materials will be used. The materials used must be safe and fun, so that learning is easily conveyed to students to the maximum. in addition, for science majors (biology) there will be practicum in the laboratory, of course, the teacher must prepare the materials and tools that will be used during the practicum. what materials do students need to bring?

Teaching in class

    Mrs. Biliran starts the lesson by asking the students to pray after which she checks attendance and greets the students and asks if they are ready with the learning materials (textbook, chalk/markers, and whiteboard). Usually the teacher will give an energizer first to get the students excited. Next, the teacher will review the previous material and provide motivation related to the material to be learned. then the teacher starts the presentation to explain the topic using powerpoint. During this time, the teacher sometimes asks the students questions.  Next is to do collaborative activities and present the results. if finished then Mrs. Biliran will give a quiz and integration, summary and assigment. finally the teacher will close the lesson by asking students to pray.

Measurement and Evaluation

    The teacher provides evaluation by asking questions to students in turns. This aims to enable teachers to measure the extent of students' understanding of the topics being taught. Apart from that, the teacher also gives assignments in his book based on the topics given that day. Teachers can rate the number of stars as a reward for their work. The teacher at the end of each topic will give a quiz, either multiple choice or essay

Our Field Trip In Davao City EDEN Nature Park and Resort Davao        Based on the schedule, we have a visit. On September 09, 2023. Accompanied by our beloved madi, danica, Mrs. Pregua and Mrs. Hellen, we went to EDEN Nature Park and Resort Davao.  Here I was with ayunie from malaysia and friends from Thailand (Sabi, oliver, Film, Foei-fei, and Tailer) at EDEN park initially we played at the bamboo maze. After that we took pictures at the EDEN PARK sign.      We started our tour with a shuttle tour. We also had a tour guide in the shuttle tour car. During the tour, we stopped at some of the iconic areas in EDEN Park. Our first stop was the Amphitheater & Flower Garden. At this place, we were delighted by the colorful sights and smells of the flowers and enjoyed a great view of Davao City.      Our second stop was Tinubdan. 1. SCHOOL : GENERAL INFORMATION AND ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATION

  1. School: General Information and Academic Administration School profile The University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) began in 1905. UIC is a private Catholic basic and higher education institution administered by the Religious of the Virgin Mary in Davao City, Davao del Sur, Philippines.  (S ource:  Main Campus  https://www.facebook.com/RVMUICDAVAO/photos/a.1947937795434119/2837965769764646/?type=3&theater) After I made observations, I know that UIC has three separate campuses: Fr. Selga campus (Main), Bonifacio campus (Annex) and Bajada campus (basic education). During me in davao city, I stay at dorm Fr. Selga campus (Main).  In this dormitory we live with other international students and UIC students. This UIC dormitory is for women only and has a rule that all gates and doors will be closed at 9 pm. MY CLOSING CEREMONY

  My Closing Ceremony     On September 28, 2023, one day before my return to Indonesia, a closing ceremony was held at UIC's Bonifacio campus. This event took place with the delivery of impressions of messages and expressions of my gratitude to the Immaculate Conception University for helping and facilitating me during my internship here.       I received a token from UIC as a memento. Here I also presented a singing performance. Then after the event was over mam lolly as the dean and also mam helene invited me and my budies to have dinner together. The next day Sir Rene who is the international student coordinator lecturer gave me a certificate as proof that I had completed and participated in a teaching internship at UIC for 1 month.
